Many thanks to all involved in maintaining and managing this wonderful property.

Martin and his family are back from their stay thanks to The Landmark Trust!

Headway Leicester were awarded a holiday for the second time thanks to The Landmark’s Trust #50forfree scheme.

“We had a lovely weekend at Dolbelydr, experiencing total quiet, isolation and no light pollution so clear we could hear the owls calling as we were going to sleep, whilst seeing the stars in the sky, so unusual for us town dwellers.

My daughter mentioned spending time with the family and making memories. Also enjoying outside activities, art and photography, activities we were unable to do due to lockdown restrictions. Planning evening activities as no TV or wifi. Planning and cooking meals and next day trips.

It was disappointing not to be able to walk locally and to have to drive everywhere, but the trips we planned were not too far away, they were very special, especially getting sprayed by the Rhaeadr, bring scared walking on the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and having such a peaceful ride on the Llangollen Canal horse drawn canal boat, pulled by beautiful Harvey.

And of course, a special trip for four land locked people was walking on the beach, again not experienced for some time due to covid. We were so lucky with the Welsh weather, couldn’t have chosen a better weekend and holiday location.
