The Travelling Gallery!
Every year our Wednesday group create artwork with guidance from Art therapists and long- term Artist volunteer Helen Newton for our annual calendar. This year we are showcasing this work in honour of his Majesty King Charles III to celebrate the coronation and the commencement of his reign.
The Travelling Gallery is
being launched at legal partners Nelson’s of Leicester and they have published the invitation to the event as below:
“After the unveiling at Nelsons the Travelling Gallery heads out across Leicester City, Leicestershire County and Rutland libraries as well as Community & Civic buildings.”
Our travelling gallery will be at Great Glen Library from August 1st and for one day only at Nationwide Building Society in Leicester.

Online Fatigue Management Course 2024 –
With Specialist Neurological Occupational Therapist Angela Gordon
This six week online Fatigue Management Course specifically designed to inform and support you in:
- Understanding fatigue
- Identifying potential triggers
- Implementing techniques
- If you are a carer, how to support someone living with fatigue
When: Thursdays from September 19th to October 31st
Where: Online
Time: 11am-12pm
Cost: £30 per person (for the whole course)
Option for a Refresher Session on how to use Zoom on September the 12th 11am – 12pm (Free to sign up)
This course is open to those with a brain injury or stroke and their carers.

Chocolate Truffle Workshop with Nanette Hand Crafted Chocolates
Wednesday 16th October
With a mixture of mixture of ‘demo and doing.’ you will be shown how to make a chocolate ganache and produce a fabulous, glossy filling for your chocolates! You will also be able to temper chocolate and then combining both, you will create your own chocolate truffles!
Eat there and then or take home to enjoy later! (- or even share them if you are feeling generous!)
Christmas Theatre Trip to My Fair Lady
“Wouldn‘t it be loverly” to join us for a Christmas Theatre outing to The Curve in Leicester to go and see the Smash Hit My Fair Lady!
We have tickets available for just £20 for Headway Leicester friends and family for the performance on Thursday 12th December at 2.15pm.
