As you can imagine, the last 18 months have been really challenging for small, charitable groups like ours. The pandemic has drastically affected our fundraising efforts, so we’re grateful to have this partnership with the local Co-op.
We’re urging local members to choose us as their cause so we can deliver our project and help more people living with a brain injury.
We are raising funds to pay for a counsellor who understands the range of issues and challenges relating to brain injury who can provide support to local brain injury survivors and their families.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Depression is especially common after brain injury, with roughly 50% of people experiencing depression during the first year of their recovery. It can be a devastating experience for both the individual concerned as well as their family. Our counselling service will help individuals and family members learn coping mechanisms to manage their mental health and wellbeing on a day-to-day basis.
For every £1 members spend on selected Co-op branded products and services, 2p will go into their membership account.

We really hope that people will visit the Co-op website or download the app and select us as their Local Community Fund cause so we can continue to make a different to the brain injury survivors we support.
Thank you!
